Detailed Program
The papers will be 30 minutes long including time (10 minutes) for a few questions. The Organizing Committee is interested to increase the dialogue between young researchers and the experts as a strategy to motivate teachers and other paremiologic devotees to share their knowledge.
The exhibition materials, posters, books, etc. are in the same guarded room to be commented on.
Along the week the social and cultural programs include the reception welcome, the fellowship and closing dinners and some organized visits in the city. Other events can be seen in the cultural agenda of the Municipality for November.
After a week of intense work, the cultural visits scheduled for the weekend (November 7 and 8) offer a chance to unwind and an opportunity for participants to explore places where Portuguese cultural and historical heritage can be appreciated.
To celebrate ICP26 (the 20th edition of the Interdisciplinary Colloquia on Proverbs, held in Tavira), the cultural visits taking place over the weekend will be held in the municipalities of Oeiras and Lisbon; the Tavira–Oeiras/Lisbon–Tavira round trip will be provided by a bus supplied by the Municipality of Tavira.
As usual, the departure from Tavira will take place on the morning of Saturday, November 7, with the return to Tavira scheduled for after lunch on Sunday, November 8. Participants who do not wish to return to Tavira will be free to make decisions that best suit their personal interests.
Accommodation for the night of November 7–8 at the Hotel Vila Galé Collection Palácio dos Arcos-Oeiras (View accommodation information) is to be paid for by the participant.
More details about the program and cultural visits will be announced later on. The ICP26 secretary staff will be in charge to update the information.
